Floor Tile Upgrade

Floor tiles come in many different shapes and styles. They also come in as many different colors as you could possibly imagine. Floor tiles can range in size from 1 inch square to 18 inches square.

Some of the larger floor tiles are harder to lay if the floor isn't flat. The flatter the floor the nicer the tiles will look no matter what size they are. Some of the large floor tiles in this bathroom have their edges raised at the corners because the floor is not perfectly flat. You will see this often and a large floor.

Tile is one of the most durable products you can install on any floor. Tile flooring in a bathroom gives us two benefits, a long lasting floor and moisture resistant product.

The tile itself is pretty water resistant but the grout in between the tiles is where the possible water or mold damage can come from. The water will seep into the grout and underneath the tile and thin set adhesive. If the next step for the water is a wood subfloor this could produce a problem with mold and wood rot.

A properly laid tile floor should last for years.
