| Toilet paper holders come and many
different styles to fit your bathroom remodeling needs. Some toilet
paper holders mount on top of the wall while others mount into the wall.
If you select a toilet paper holder to mount into the wall, make sure
there is nothing in the way like a structural framing post, plumbing or
electrical.
The toilet paper holder in the picture above fell off of the wall
because of the drywall anchors used. It seemed that the drywall anchors
would have worked fine if there was actually drywall, instead the wall
was plastered and after years of poor ventilation in the bathroom the
plaster was extremely weak.
The weak plaster along with the drywall anchor caused the toilet paper
holder to fall off with only a gentle pull on the toilet paper itself.
To repair this someone screwed a piece of wood into the bathroom wall
and then attached the toilet paper holder to solid backing.
If you are installing toilet paper holders make sure that you choose the
location carefully. Do not install the toilet paper holder to low or too
high. Make it convenient while keeping out of the way of knees and
elbows.
Toilet paper holders could become painful it's located in the wrong
spot.
