| Here you can see a three inch and a
two inch drain pipe sticking into a structural footing. If you look
closely you can see the foam wrapping around the waste pipe used to keep
the concrete from touching the plastic.
It's very important to check the location of any plumbing pipes to make
sure they are in the correct position. This plumbing pipe was off by an
inch and a half and the wall could not be moved because it was
structural.
This however is not the end of the world and we furred out the walls
using 2 x 4 studs. Sometimes furring out walls will create problems and
in this case the wall had a door in it which required using extension
jambs.
To eliminate these problems down the road double check all plumbing
measurements.
