| By Greg Vanden Berge The real way to rid your home of
black mold is to cut off the moisture which could be caused from leaking
pipes and poor exterior grading (The land doesn't slope away from the
house properly ) this may contribute to your black mold problem. Mold in
attics caused by poor ventilation in humid climates seems to be a big
problem. So How Do I kill mold in my house you ask and do I need a mold
expert to remove the black mold.
No you can do it yourself if you feel comfortable with cleaning
up the mess. Please be advised right now if you have a large
black mold problem in your home
contact mold
expert in your area and let them handle the problem.
However if you have a small patch of black mold around your
bathtub it can be cleaned up with simple house hold bleach.
Clean the area with soap and water first to get the loose mold.
Then get
a spray bottle and put some bleach into it. Then spray the
bleach onto the black mold and let it sit for about five minutes
then take a paper towel and wipe up the area. If you need to put
on rubber gloves and a full body suit like the toxic waste
employees from a nuclear waste plant feel free to do so. |

You can repeat the spraying of the bleach and wiping up
the black mold a few times. If this is not working you can try something
stronger like chlorine.
After you wipe up the black mold with the paper towel
through it into the trash outside of your home. Do not keep the mold
inside of your house. Remember that house hold mold can be killed with
bleach and bleach is made from chlorine. If you want to use something
stronger than bleach just go down to the local home improvement
store and purchase some liquid chlorine. Please follow the instructions
on the chlorine container because chlorine gives off a harmful gas and
should be used in a well ventilated area.
How to kill black mold is a simple process of using
bleach and wiping it up with a paper towel. Moisture is the main reason
why you will have mold in your home so eliminate the moisture and you
will eliminate the mold. In the absence of drying
out a porous surface like wood, some fungi clearly survive the treatment
and may re-colonize the surface. You will need to eliminate the moisture
or the black mold can possibly come back. There are studies that prove
bleach sprayed on wood by it self is not enough to kill the Microflora
so as needed dry out the wood. |
