What Is A Tubular Skylight

Tubular skylights have a roof-mounted light collector. This is normally a acrylic lens set in a metal or plastic frame. This roof mounted light collector is shaped like a dome collecting light from any position of the sun. The sunlight travels through a round pipe through the attic to your ceiling. This pipe has a mirror like reflective surface which amplifies the light traveling through it creating more light with less area.

You can use tubular skylights in a hallway to bring light into a bedroom or other dark rooms. We have a skylight in the bathroom which brings light into the hall. Their are all sorts of stuff you can do with tubular skylights.
