Shower Problem Area

Where does the most water damage in the bathroom floor happen? Look at  the arrows. This area seems to suffer the most as water leaks over time from the top of the shower dam on to the floor. The water also comes from the seal on the bottom of the door becoming damaged over time which in turn starts to let water leak out of the shower on to the floor in this area.

How do I solve this problem? By putting a piece of water proofing not water resistant paper or membrane in front of the shower dam.
