| The damage to the roof beam by the
water was caused by poor roofing. The roof paper didn't lap over at the
ridge at all. The shingles didn't either. There was water coming in
along the whole length of the roof ridge creating wood rot. The owner
choose not to replace the ridge beam because of financial reasons.
We did remove some of the damaged area and added some hardware to make
it last longer.
