| The style and rail problems are
from the window sagging over time. Opening and closing over the years
loosens up the window causing cracks in between the top and bottom rails
and the side styles. This in turn allows water to seep into the wood
causing even more damage to the wood window.
This is a little harder to fix right but you can fill the crack with
caulking and paint to prolong the life of the wood window.
