Window Header Strap To Trimmer
 

The strap makes a good connection to the window trimmer. If you are wondering why I didn't put the strap on the trimmer closest to the window. Let me explain. If you install the strap on the 2 x 4 window trimmer next t the window when you go to nail the drywall corner bead on or wood trim guess what you are going to hit.

Try to keep all metal straps and hardware if possible away from the window opening at least one inch.
